The prominent musician from Shkodra, Kujtim Alija, has passed away.
The sad news was given on social networks by the mayor of Shkodra, Voltana Ademi.
Ademi calls the premature departure from this world of Kujtim Alija an extraordinary loss for the Albanian art and culture.
“I can not find words to describe this very premature departure of my teacher, of the teacher of all children, of the great master Professor Kujtim Alija”, she emphasizes.

The well-known conductor has been the organizer for many years of the nationwide Children’s Festival and the director of the Children’s Cultural Center in Shkodra.
He was recently suffering from a serious illness which took his life. Kujtim Alija holds the title of Grand Master.
